The Narellan community continues to demonstrate its generosity by donating used stamps to The Lions Club of Narellan. These small contributions are carefully sorted, trimmed, and packed by volunteers before being forwarded to the Australian Chapter of the Lions International Stamp Club. From there, they’re sent to Sydney, where the Philatelic Association of New South Wales auctions them to raise funds through their trusted network of stamp collectors.
Every single stamp carries purpose—because all proceeds go directly to the Australian Lions Children’s Mobility Foundation, an inspiring initiative that provides walking frames and mobility aids to children who otherwise rely on wheelchairs. The Foundation’s motto says it all: “Walk with Pride.” Each device helps a child stand, walk, and gain independence—giving families hope and changing lives one step at a time.
In 2022 alone, with the help of Lions Clubs across the country, the Stamp Club proudly presented a cheque for $60,000 to the Foundation. This donation helped fund dozens of devices tailored to the needs of growing children, giving them new possibilities and self-confidence.
This project is a reminder that even the smallest act—saving a used stamp—can have a lasting impact. Lions believe in service through community effort, and this initiative embodies that spirit beautifully.
Please ask your family, friends, neighbours, and colleagues to save their used stamps. Drop them off at The Lions Club stall at Narellan Town Centre. With every envelope, you’re helping a child take a step closer to freedom and dignity.
Together, we stamp out limits—and walk forward with pride.
Lions Clubs and Australian Lions Foundation Partner to Support Campbelltown Hospital Neonatal Unit
In a powerful display of community collaboration, Camden, Narellan, Campbelltown City, Macarthur & Camden Lioness Lions Clubs have joined forces with the Australian Lions Foundation to support the vital work of the neonatal unit at Campbelltown Hospital.
This partnership has led to the successful purchase of life-saving equipment that will assist in the care of premature and critically ill newborns. The generous funding was made possible through a joint initiative involving local Lions Clubs and a matching grant from the Australian Lions Foundation, demonstrating the Lions’ continued commitment to improving health outcomes for local families.
“This project reflects the core values of Lions – serving the community where it’s needed most,” said Danny Richardson Narellan Lions Club President. “Supporting the neonatal unit ensures that our youngest and most vulnerable receive the best possible start in life.”
The equipment will enhance the hospital’s capacity to deliver advanced neonatal care, helping medical teams provide timely and efficient treatment to newborns in need.
Representatives from the Lions Clubs recently visited the hospital to present the equipment and meet with hospital staff.
The Lions extend their gratitude to the local community, whose continued support enables meaningful projects like this to become a reality.
